Very often our community prides itself in how it brings people together. Diverse and from many cultures, we come from all over the world to form close and often small circles in the nightlife music industry.
Some relationships extend outside of the party, some are kept within, nonetheless, we share dance floors, DJ booths, common friends, cherished memories and learn from one another. Many of us might not be close, yet we see one another more often than some of our closest friends. We make what we refer to as "the community" or "the industry" in one way or the other, each of us with our own reasons and contributions...
June 1st, lets gather as a community for our friend - a person who has not only contributed to nightlife in NY and LA, but who has supported many of us in hard and good times alike. Lets make a statement, that our "community" really stands for something and is able to make a change in someones life!
Let us show Abdel that the people he touched came together to support him in his time of need, in hopes that it will help him not only get through this time of hardship financially (at least a little), but boost his spirits and mentality toward faster healing...so we can once again share a dance with him.
